Lady finger fry

Ingredients:
  • Ladyfingers (bhindi) 1/2 kilogram
  • Oil 3 teaspoons
  • Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
  • Onion ,thinly sliced 1 medium
  • Ginger,finely chopped 1 inch piece
  • Green chillies,finely chopped 3-4
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander powder 1 tablespoon
  • Red chilli powder 2 teaspoons
  • Curry leaves            1 sprig
  • Chana dal              1/2 tsp
  • Urad dal                1/2 tsp
Method:
  1. Cut head and tail of ladyfingers.Cut each into two or three pieces depending on the size.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add chana dal,urad dal,cumin seeds.As they begin to change colour add onion,curry leaves,ginger and green chillies.
  3. Stir-fry till onion turns pinkish.Add ladyfingers and sprinkle salt.Cook covered,on medium heat till half done.Then cook uncovered until crispy stirring once a while.
  4. Add coriander powder,and red chilli powder.Toss well.Serve hot.
